What can fix it when you don't get the emotional connection back as an adult?

Completely rude to the homeowner and putting the blame on her for allowing her child to draw on her father.

Hopefully, the woman is recognized by the landlord or property manager and evicted.

I wonder whether the owner and landlord have come across the post. Soon enough, she may become upset as she has been forced to leave and struggles to find another place to reside.

You're so irresponsible for allowing your daughter to destroy the floor, show some control; not a great role model.

Is your landlord gonna be stoked about how she doesn't give a crap about other people's stuff? HELL NO.

Her future child will definitely take advantage of her and my children would never be allowed to behave like that.

You'll have to shell out for the floor replacement once you get kicked out. Irresponsible tenants like you make all of us look bad.

The landlord probably doesn't care about your inner child.

Consider using chalk to allow the child to draw outside.

She rejected drawing on her furniture but allowed it on the rental floor, and it made me feel embarrassed.

It might be a little contradictory to tell a two-year-old that they can't draw on your belongings but it's okay to do so on someone else's property. Although you were able to clean it up this time, what if next time she uses a material that is more difficult to clean? There's nothing wrong with enco... View More

If it were your property, there wouldn't be any concerns. It's just a rental property, after all! I hope the owners hold you responsible for fixing the floor!

I stored the crayons, testers, and pens away unless we are doing the activity together. My owned caravan wasn't as bad as the rental. I cleaned what he did, but I won't allow it to happen again, so he is reprimanded and put in time out.

The kid actually paid attention when mom was like, "No way, don't doodle on the furniture, especially the cabinets." So, the kid had the guts to ask if it's cool to draw on the wooden floor, and guess what? Mom took a moment to think about it and eventually gave the green light! Plus, they made sure... View More

There's dumb stuff she can do that doesn't involve wrecking rented stuff. This mom seriously needs therapy.

One time, as a dope treat, we let our kids and their cousin go wild on our tiled floor, which was around 6m square. We had it scheduled for a thorough grout cleaning the next day... and man, that day was lit! The floor ended up looking hella fresh, even better than before!

"Our family mantra is 'Just on paper,' as we encourage our 2-year-old to express herself through drawing. While it wouldn't be an issue if she accidentally draws on our walls (since we plan on repainting soon), we hope she doesn't as she hasn't done so thus far. However, if I were to let her draw on... View More

You make it difficult for responsible pet and child owners to find rental properties by allowing your children to damage rented property. This is irresponsible.

If you ain't teaching your kids and yourself to respect other people's stuff, you all need some serious help. Don't go blaming your dad 'cause it seems like he was trying to raise you to be a decent and respectful person, ya know?

Healing your inner child should not harm someone else's property, and it is important to teach boundaries and consequences to prevent future issues.

Encourage their creative side by allowing them to draw with washable chalk outdoors. It's a great way for them to enjoy themselves while keeping the mess contained. This is responsible parenting.

Who can afford dining out? We struggle with just having pizza every two weeks. When we did eat out recently, we noticed higher prices and smaller portions. It's frustrating. Living has never been this difficult.
