I think Bob Katter proposed this idea years ago - create a border around Brisbane and classify the rest as Regional Queensland. My concern is having too many politicians.

Add in the southeast corner, below Gympie and up in the mountains, make sure the southwest connects with Central Queensland, North Queensland, and Far North Queensland. They all get beat by the southeast corner too!!
