The woven strip helps the towel dry faster by spreading moisture evenly.
It's like when companies shrink stuff and still charge the same. They skimp on materials so they can make an extra towel out of every 50. Just like they poke holes in cheese for the same reason.

I've had it with all the drama! I'm hitting the unfollow button because this is just way too much.
Chill out, it probably won't turn into a cyclone by the time it reaches us cause we're way down south. Just stay vigilant but don't stress too much. Well, maybe stress a little about the insurance price hike that's coming.
