Sadistic’ HSC extension 2 maths question that’s too hard to solve
I screwed up year 9 vegy math, so I won't be one to criticize.
I studied advanced math at Uni and hardly used numbers. It's tough, so don't depend on a calculator.
The deal is, not everyone gonna know the answer, man. It's like the toughest question on the toughest test, you know? If all the questions were in everyone's chill zone, then everyone would be acing it, no doubt!
This is the outcome when ChatGPT is used to generate math exam questions. It appears to be attempting to separate the intelligent individuals, but what is its intention?
Why is it considered news that maths ext 2 is incredibly challenging for the high-achieving math enthusiasts?
To be fair dinkum, I reckon I don't even get the question, let alone know how to bash out a solution.
The main idea is that not everyone can answer. It is the most difficult question on the most difficult paper. If all questions were easy, everyone would score 100%.
That's what happens when you let ChatGPT create questions for a math test. I reckon it's attempting to filter out the brainiacs. But what's its game?
High school's peak Mathematics level exists to test talented students and is not expected to be mastered by all.
