What was he supposed to do, fam?

The correct phrasing would be: His title is security guard, not security police.

Until the punishment becomes way tougher than the crime itself, we're gonna see more and more violent crimes happening. Sadly, only those with some basic street smarts can actually see this, and it's a rare thing to come by these days.

Yep. And if they get hurt in the grind, the haters ain't gonna lend a hand, man.

Unless they work for Armouguard, most people in NZ, including the police, are unarmed.

That's why security personnel need guns...Boom, they're all caught! 😂😂😂😂 The only downside is, they can't respond to questions 😅😅

Yo, dude was tryna dial up the 5-0, straight up. If he didn't do that, he would've been risking himself for no reason, ya feel me?

Despite having friends in security, they were instructed to step back when faced with a larger group or armed individuals. Consequently, the person could only observe the events, collect detailed descriptions of the culprits, and alert the police.

You know what's up! That's his gig as security. He's gotta be the legit observer in case it goes to court.

30 bucks an hour ain't enough to be a hero. Just do your job and have a beer with your buddies to relax. Then go home to your fam.

The primary job of Security is to watch and document.

Security guards aren't exactly the ones who go after armed thieves and crackheads. Their job is more like taking note of what happened and calling the police. Nobody ever became a hero by rescuing jewelry.

Sec guards don't get paid jack (or have the skills or legal permission) to get involved. They're basically just scaring people off 99% of the time. My BF does security at pubs, but he can't throw anyone in jail or hold them back. He's just there to keep an eye and hopefully scare off troublemakers (... View More

So, like, if someone has a weapon and the security guard doesn't, we're supposed to expect them to intervene? Like, really? Are you seriously suggesting that I should go running towards someone with a freakin' hammer? No way!

What the heck was he supposed to do? They had weapons, and he's just a security guard. There were several of them, seriously...

Guards are present for deterrence and surveillance, not to confront multiple perpetrators, as it may result in tragedy. Jewellery stores can compensate for their losses or seek insurance coverage.

Yo, bro! He ain't some straight-up badass security guard, you know what I'm sayin'? It's way better for him to bounce and chill with his peeps at home than to get mad messed up and only gettin' paid chump change!

The sole gig of security is to keep an eye out and give a heads-up. They're not the least compensated individuals in the venue expected to physically engage with lawbreakers. Many guards don't even possess legitimate employment agreements.
