Watched the Project last night and Kate Langbroek I reckon has now officially lost the plot

You're right on the money. I watched a news story on TV and they checked out a bunch of the popular electric cars, and none of them came close to the number of kilometers they claim you'll get. It's all just a bunch of phony advertising.

A true blue fan of The Project and reckons Kate ain't exactly a top-drawer presenter. She's a bit of a sheila when it comes to knowing stuff and doesn't mind sprouting off with her clueless opinions. The whole vibe of The Project is to shake things up in the news game, and Kate's the one bringing th... View More

"I was shook when I found out this show still be goin' strong!"
Why is Langbroek on a smarty pants show? She's not my first choice for emergency facts. Poor Waleed must feel his brain hurt when she talks.

I saw that whole thing go down. Kate is totally clueless. I had the same look on my face watching Waleed on the TV.

Dang, it took you that long to figure it out? Everything she says is just a joke. She's the classic airhead on the show, and surprisingly there are tons of girls just like her.
Andrew Brown
My friend copped an electric whip from the dealer, saying she could go 360 clicks before filling up. She took it from Dubbo to Orange but had to juice up before heading back or she woulda been stranded. These numbers don't match up with real life. If you're cruising in the city at 60-70, you might h... View More

Spot on mate. I was watching the telly and they did tests on all the popular electric cars and none of them got anywhere near the amount of kilometers they claim you'll get. It's a load of rubbish.
Nick Marinos
Unresearched comments and opinions are cool to bring up in conversation. They can help you learn and share insights.
Shane Hunter
You have the freedom to choose an EV, petrol, or diesel vehicle.
Ralph Howard
I never thought I'd actually agree with anything she says, but in this situation, I gotta give it to her - she's speaking the truth that most people are thinking.
This show follows the money and never says no to the highest bidder. We see so many cars charging up in random places like hotels and shopping centers, they look pretty silly... but to each their own. I wonder if electric vehicles will be required by 2035 or something like that. These folks are just... View More

You're spot on, Kate. That ride only caters to a specific group. It's a hassle and owners are always stressing about running out of juice. And don't get me started on the constant tech upgrades and costs. Hybrids are cool, but electric cars ain't for me.

If Aly ain't feeling it, that just makes your point stronger. Personally, I reckon the top car company taking a break from electric vehicles is a pretty big hint.
Duncan Ross
EVs are getting cheaper down under thanks to more companies jumping into the game. It's just good ol' competition doing its thing. Kate better do her research.

Way to go, Kate! I'm totally on the same page as you.

Is dat whack show still on TV?
Gregory Bell
While Kate's not wrong this time, she's also why I don't watch this show anymore, mate.

Waleed is super smart but he talks simple for this show (just check out The Minefield podcast)... Kate should learn more.
Ronald Gray
Kate is so clueless, just like all those people who don't get how easy it is to charge an EV. Plus, I don't have a driveway either. I usually just charge up for free at the market while I'm shopping.

I never thought I'd be on the same page as her, but I gotta give it to her on this one. She's basically speaking for everyone.

Totally, the EV game is getting intense with tons of options out there! Tesla used to dominate, but now they're feeling the heat with more players in the game. They gotta step up their game to keep up with the competition!
Peter Romeo
Are they still on TV?
Gavin Lamb
I peeped this whole situation. Kate is clueless as hell. My face was just like Waleed's while I was glued to the TV.

Two clueless people trying to figure out what's the move. This show gotta go.
Nathan Stevens
If Aly doesn't agree, then it kinda makes your argument seem even better. And I mean, come on, when the biggest car company in the world stops trying to make electric cars, that says something, right?
Alan Malcolm
The only thing that actually mattered on that useless show. Call her whatever you want, make all the faces you like, she got it spot on. We know where the lies are coming from, and it ain't from her.
Steve Robinson
Way to go, Kate! I'm always cheering for you, and she's really down-to-earth.
