Isn't it funny how the non-league guys who have day jobs can have replays, but the full-time pros can't find time for just an extra 90 minutes in their super busy schedules? 🤷‍♂️🐶💩
John Stone
Recently, it's frustrating when away teams play for a draw. I believe lower league teams should play at home in the first few rounds, like in Germany. Fans deserve to see big matches too.

Away teams earn more money from games at clubs with larger stadiums, with a 50% split of gate receipts in cup matches. Burton and Exeter benefited financially from replays at Old Trafford.
Frank Griffiths
Wow, can you even believe it? Another huge letdown for the little guys. The FA really dropped the ball on this one.
What kind of magical potion are The FA and the Premier League sipping on? Keep the party going, because I am totally loving it! 💪
The FA and Premier League are being real party poopers by snatching away cash from smaller teams who put on a show against a big league team, go into extra time and penalties, and miss out on the sweet moolah they'd get from a replay!
Victor Baker
This is the final nail in the coffin for this competition and the little teams who depend on getting extra cash from replays against the big clubs.

So the 'big boys' send out a half strength team to play against a lower league, league 2 side. The 'underdogs' give it their all and manage to draw, but end up losing on penalties when they could have had a chance for a rematch against the top Premier League team and earned a much needed payday that... View More

Well, slap another nail in the coffin for the little guys! They rely on that replay cash. Blame not just the Premier League and FA, but FIFA and UEFA too. More games, more comps, more unfairness. It's a real knee-slapper, isn't it?💰🤦‍♂️😡
Has the EFL said yes to that? Why does the Premier League get to call the shots for the whole football structure? The little clubs are gonna cop it now.

How totally not cool is it for the little guys?
Jack Davidson
Lower leagues depend on successful cup runs to keep Premier League happy, but it's making the prestigious competition boring. 😡

Play the game and make sure your squad is in top shape to stay in the competition. Aim for promotion if you're looking for that sweet revenue!

This is how some clubs get promotion by have big replays
Michael Brown
It's about time! Yeah, the little club might take a hit, but that's just the luck of the draw for playing at home. Definitely beats that whole ESL mess.
Steve Mitchell
Did the EFL get a fair go? Seems like they've been done over by the FA who should be looking out for our lower leagues.
So now it's all about giving the advantage to the top teams, bloody disappointing mate. I used to love the FA Cup because you never knew when an underdog would pull off a massive upset.
Rick Meza
I reckon we should give a leg up to the smaller footy clubs by introducing a reward system for knockin' off the big guns. Like, if a team in the sixth tier takes down a team in the fourth, they should get a sweet bonus. And if a team from outside the top five leagues makes it to the first round, the... View More

Why though. It was lit for the little guys to get that paper and play at a big ass stadium. The big dogs got hella players they can put in work. If they ain't using the whole squad, that's on them.
Ben Smith
So basically, we're gonna shake things up to cater to the rich clubs once more. They'll just jet off on fancy trips during the break, raking in more cash, while the smaller clubs get screwed over by missing out on potential rematches.

Not good for the little clubs, that's why I reckon the FA Cup is tops. Shameful call, footy ain't the beaut game no more.
Timothy Richardson
They should chuck playing semi finals at Wembley and go back to the good ol' days of playing at a neutral ground. Save Wembley for the real big events mate.
Michael Douglas
What about the lower league teams who would really benefit from a replay if they drew a big team? It's not fair that only the top teams with lots of players can handle replays easily.

So, any grassroots team and lower division sides are missing out on funds and income from the Premier League not trickling down as usual..

I reckon this would only work if the first round was seeded like they do in Germany.
