It's about time to chuck giving a squiz at the cricket.

I'm confused because the rule of the game states that the ball should not be touched without the permission of the fielding player, so why are they still doing that? I would always make the fielding player retrieve their own ball.

He was having a go at being a 'legend' - he won't have a crack at it again.

The rules of the game are there for all teams, mate.

Ayo, this dude be doin' this all the time like David Warner, yo! Whenever he catch that ball, he always be askin' the keeper or fielder before he toss it to them, like a straight-up 💩go, but hey, rules be rules.

I thought cricket was all about playing it fancy, ya know? But damn, there ain't no morals or values in this call. It's just a weak excuse to twist the rules however you want, man.

An umpire straight up told me I would've been called out if the opposing team had complained about me passing off a ball stuck in my pads. But in the world of women's community cricket, next time I'm just gonna roll with it and keep running, who cares? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Have fun in your designated spot and don't interact with the ball unless you're given permission. Actually, as a batter, try not to touch the ball at all except with your bat. 👍

I am totally digging the Poms in situations like this and the Bairstow run out, but this one is hella messed up! 😂

No compassion! It's like when you say - If you don't want to become shark food, stay out of the water. Don't mess with the ball while batting and you won't be out. It's as straightforward as that.

Dang, how many dudes have pulled this off throughout the years? This rule is seriously whack!

I reckon I fully agree with your remarks, mate. You'll see that the batsmen ask the fielders if they can grab it, and they say yes. If ya have a squiz at the snap, the two players are bloody close. It's a joke, I reckon they would've already agreed. Umpire should be banned, no doubt about it.

I feel you, man. It ain't cool, playing unsportsmanlike. But yo, he could've just been like, "Yo, can I grab that?" like most batters do. A simple nod would've done the trick. Zimbabwe straight up went too far with this appeal.

I don't really see eye-to-eye with it, but hey, England did have a hand in penning the rules too!

I cringe whenever a batsman picks up the ball because a simple appeal can get them out, so they should just avoid it.

Anything that falls under the rules of cricket is meant to be followed and is naturally part of the essence of cricket.

What were the commentators doing when Angelo Mathews was timed out - frying onions? The game is already over. (Note: "timed out" is an unusual phrasing in this context. If the intended meaning is that Angelo Mathews was given a time limit to complete a task, please provide more information.)
