It's not the council's job to convince businesses to come to Geelong. They just need to make sure the paperwork and permits for building are easy to get. As long as you're cool with the fact that your naturestrip might turn into a construction zone for maintenance on buried utilities like storm water, sewerage, water, or telecom lines, then no worries!

Yeah mate, I've got a top nature strip garden with a veggie patch and fruit trees that I've had for over 20 years and no one's ever messed with it. It really brings the neighbourhood together. If you're keen, give it a go. If not, no worries.
That idea is dope but hella flawed. Ain't nobody gonna keep up with it and we'll have critters coming in to chow down on the bugs. Unless the council steps up and uses the mowing budget to maintain it, it ain't gonna work.
