Isn't this a workplace safety concern? Just curious, what would happen if there's a fire in the store?
Coles should learn from Woolies as they have a better overall shopping experience with spaciousness, organized gates, trolleys, and efficient self-checkout service.
I peeped them real tight with a bunch of customers stuck, unable to bounce. The employees couldn't even fix the situation, man.
I hardly ever go to Coles, and even if I do, I always choose a checkout with a person. I totally avoid using self-service.
I am completely fine with the intelligent gates. If they can prevent theft, that's even more enjoyable. Theft incurs additional expenses for every customer.
They can make sure they're open. Ours are in our neighborhood shop.
I ain't workin' for Coles 'cause I don't work for them. It's as simple as that.
What measures are in place for dealing with shoplifters who become aggressive towards staff and other customers, within these premises?
The gates at Westfield Parramatta were blocking my exit the other day.
The gate closes only when an item is not scanned.
