I think Sarah is right. Josh is just messing around with the symptoms, not getting to the real issue. We need to tackle the root cause of the problem, not just the surface stuff. Shouldn't all sugar-free soft drinks be taxed less, since they are marketed as healthier options?
Have we not seen that the alcopop tax did not work, I'm sure the tax is still in place.
