And again why we all hate Wollies and Coles
Yarn
Self checkout was trippin' the other day, sayin' I didn't scan everything. Now I'm gettin' side-eye like I'm tryna steal. It was just my wallet and phone, damn! If they ain't gonna trust us, they should just ditch self checkout altogether!
According to Woolies staff, theft has not decreased despite increased surveillance measures.

I've been hitting up my local IGA more these days, Woolies gives me the creeps like I'm up to no good. I know they need security and all, but it's overboard. Can't even take a damn pin without them watching. Might have to pull out the umbrella next time!
Chris Edwards
I've switched to me local supermarket for them reasons and more.

Return to checkouts with staff if they plan to do that.

If you don't want to use self-serve, then bring back jobs for people.
Anthony Pellegrini
Let's kick things off by avoiding the self checkout and giving those cashiers some love!
It's okay for them to steal from us, but we can't do the same to them.

Haha this is hilarious! It's been common knowledge for ages but so many are in denial. This is just the start. Ever wonder why we had lockdowns? It's all a big joke. If you're not into it, just go back to doing things the old-fashioned way and support local businesses. You're not stuck with supermar... View More

Woolworths treats farmers like crap so only jerks would buy there and they'll get what's coming to them.
Henry Carter
I just got kicked out of Woolworths for not using the self-serve checkout. They basically told me to go somewhere else. What happened to good customer service? Guess it all moved to Aldi.
Brent Kelly
They've been doing that for years.
Andy Williams
Business records should be fully transparent to the public, with no privacy afforded to corporations. Privacy should only be granted to employees.
Tony Leone
Well you can't point fingers at them, ya feel me??? There's too many crooks running around. Doesn't bother me one bit.
Steve Simpson
I got grilled after I grabbed my stuff and dropped some cash, then as I was about to dip, the cashier gave me attitude when I said I already paid, the peeps at the self checkout act like you're a thief. Cut 'em loose, hire more folks at the registers. I know big stores can splash some cash on hiring... View More

My friend at Woolies served me and I saw she had a camera on her shirt. I asked her why and she said it was for security. I was like, why have a security guard then? It made me so uncomfortable. She reassured me it wasn't on, but still, so weird. I think I'll just shop at Aldi instead. I trust my Mu... View More

Curious why farmers are promoting on TV after being loyal to Coles or Woolies for over 15 years. Wonder if it's just loyalty?
Ever since they decided to splurge on security, prices have skyrocketed and thievery has gone through the roof. Total waste of money!
There's always been loads of stealing from stores by shoplifters, no big surprise. Just more folks talking about it and more ways to bust them.
Chris Harvey
Maybe if they didn't charge so much for their stuff, they wouldn't have to stress about more things getting stolen.

It's about damn time the government got their act together and actually enforced some tough laws. They always make excuses for these criminals, talking about their rough upbringing or mental problems. But enough is enough. The cops bust their asses to catch these scumbags, only for the courts to giv... View More

I would leave my shopping and walk out if a staff member checked my items at a self-checkout.
Restore the presence of cashiers.

Using self checkouts at Coles is difficult for me due to my limited vision, and I was scolded for taking too long by a staff member who suggested I use click and collect instead. Coles seems to prioritize cash over customer service.
Juan Lewis
Hey, ditch the self-service! They're not paying their staff enough and ripping off everyday Aussies. Let's boycott!

Stop being so up yourself mate, no one has bloody x-ray vision.

Piece of cake!! Just don't cop anything from there!! Easy peasy.

Yeah, it was that bad. I just didn't bother turning it on and I never really watch ABC anyway.
Gross happenings need to be stopped, what lessons are we giving our kids, the world is wacky!
Paul Townsend
Were they seriously going to provide a blow-by-blow account of the whole thing? If that's the case, then they better be ready to do it for everything...just to make sure everyone is included and it's all fair!

The article whines about always talking about women's bodies, but I like checking out the ladies.

For a bloody leftie channel, their coverage on Mardi Gras was a real dud. You'd reckon they'd do a better job.

Mate, all we want is some fair dinkum commentary that lines up with the floats and proper filming of the floats with the right sound. I had to chuck it in the bin in the end because you couldn't hear the music of the floats at all. Instead of yakking on the screen, just chuck some text down the bott... View More

Who be watching the ABC?
Did Albo go with Alan?
I quickly watched the video but found it disappointing, however, I loved seeing the beautiful photos.

The ABC couldn't even cover a hooker with a blanket.
James Gonzalez
Oi mate! What's that? Is it a new bloody sub for the gays?
Jarrod Howard
The ABC is absolutely shocking
Pat Hooper
There were way too many big egos and self-important drag queens, so I just switched it off.
Jerry Clark
I didn't watch this year 'cause they didn't show enough floats. We just wanna see the floats, know who's in them, what they're supporting, and a quick history. That's all.

Omg, for real! There was way too much talking from the commentators and not enough showing us the cool floats and costumes. We missed out on some awesome stuff during that three-hour snoozefest.

These days, I don't bother betting on Man U or Chelsea to win. I'm all about boxing now. Even if I lose, at least the person who beat me is gonna get a taste of their own medicine and we'll both feel the pain.

Ain't no Man U player good enough to roll with Man City, fam.

To be fair mate, H needs a new game plan and coach. The players don't seem to have a strategy when they're on the field and it looks like they're just playing to stop the other team, while City is having a blast.

After watching them against City today, I now believe that Man U is completely finished, despite my previous thoughts.
Steve Gardiner
They must have seen a different Man U than me, I've been a United fan for almost 50 years and I've never seen a worse bunch of players than these. And as for ETH, I'd fire him tomorrow because there's no motivation coming from him.
Robert Duke
Man Utd still have to face Arsenal and Liverpool, but as a Newcastle fan, I'm eyeing our fixtures and dreaming of catching up to them. Who needs Man Utd chasing top 4 when we've got this underdog spirit!
Andrew Beatey
They've got some serious catching up to do... 10 points behind and no hope in sight! They basically need Villa and Spurs to have a major slip up while they play the best soccer of their lives. Let's face it, there are only 11 games left. They'd need Villa to lose 3 and draw 1, which could happen, bu... View More
