If it's safe, you should always stop for animals on the road or just avoid them. I get that sometimes it's not safe, but come on, those swans are always hanging out in the same spots. We hit up that spot a few weeks back and had to show our IDs to prove where we live. They hooked us up with a little paper pass that's good for 3 years. We already checked out the bakery and took a stroll around, it's been a minute since we've been there. Simon Matthews
