G'day, g'day, ho Ho, we reckon it's time for capitalism to pack up and leave...
We got scammed into going solar, got tricked into gassing up our cars, now they're telling us to ditch gas at home, and it just keeps going. And don't get me started on this land tax bs - if you own more than one property, you're getting taxed unless you and your roomie pretend you don't live togeth... View More

It's just a way to get people to keep coppin' new tech. The more sales, the higher the GDP gets. The man don't wanna see regular folks stackin' too much cash.
Allan Cooper
It's a bit of a laugh how people thought the handouts would never end. There are a couple of reasons why you ever got any perks for generating extra solar power or installing solar panels in the first place. One, back in the day, it cost a whopping $60,000 to put in a 1.5kW system – a massive deal a... View More
G'day mate, welcome to the solar rort! 😂

The government can take a hike.

Just always remember this: When someone gives you free stuff, it's definitely a red flag. Especially if it's the government.
Shane Taylor
Is there a device to disconnect Solar panels during peak hours?

We've been duped into getting solar panels, convinced to convert our cars to gas, and now told to get rid of gas in our homes. And the government keeps throwing more curveballs - like charging land tax on extra properties, unless you live together but have different addresses. What's next, mate? ... View More

They just want us to keep buying new stuff so they can make more money. The government doesn't want us regular folks getting too rich.

You're right, I believe their goal is to have complete control over future generations by decreasing the likelihood of leaving an inheritance for our descendants.
Jess Cox
It's all about encouraging folks to keep upgrading their gadgets. The more sales, the bigger the GDP. The government doesn't want regular Aussies to have too much cash.
Brett Severino
Why y'all tripping that the government needs a makeover? Let's all start voting as one nation and Make America Great Again.

Does it cost the utility any money when they send power into the grid during peak hours because it's too much for them to handle?
Adam Higgins
Can you slap up some solar panels that ain't hooked up to the grid? Like, what's the deal with having solar if it's all tied in with the grid?

People called us stupid when we warned them about this happening.
Costa Vithoulkas
That's hilarious! People think renewable energy means taxes, but there'll be a lot more where that came from.
Jim Saunders
It's more like a fancy fee, not a boring old tax! And guess what, it goes straight to the store, not the government. Such a rebel!
Oh for sure, those sneaky swindlers will do anything to squeeze an extra buck out of you!

During summer, when power companies urge people to save electricity due to high demand and blackouts, it's time to increase the power usage.

I was just a silly old conspiracy theorist when I talked about taxes forever ago. Now it's all coming true! Welcome to TAXstralia - where taxes are hiding around every corner.
Brian Woods
Don't the gov't tax famers for the rain that fills their dams?
Colin Anderson
Just slap in a hybrid inverter and some batteries. No need to worry about sending extra power back to the grid.
Jason Edwards
They know most people can't use all the power they generate, so it's like free money for Ausgrid. And don't forget how great it is to have solar power working so well from 4pm to 9pm.

Yo yo, capitalism gotta bounce...
G'day mate, capitalism's gotta hit the road, ya know!
I reckon there might be a gadget that lets homeowners switch off their solar during the busiest times.
Samuel Collins
Everyone should put in batteries and disconnect from the grid.
Robert Brown
Another reason for not participating in the feed-in tariff is because I am not interested in the low rate.
Adrian Long
Think about the farmers who supply to Coles and Woolies. They get bugger all for their stuff while the middlemen make a killing. If you're feeling the pinch from these feed-in tariffs, you're pretty much a sun farmer now.
Scams or frauds.

Every time we try to squirrel away some cash, these money-sucking parasites come out to play. Time to give Jacinta Allan and her green buddies the boot!
Aaron Finden
They reckon most folks can't use all the juice they produce, so it's a ripper deal for Ausgrid. Plus, solar panels are tops from 4pm to 9pm, mate.

Ausgrid profits from excess generated power because most people can't use it all, especially during peak solar hours from 4pm to 9pm.

We got played into getting solar, got fooled into putting gas in our rides, now they're saying no gas in the crib. And it doesn't stop there. Got another crib? Gotta pay that land tax. But if two people own a spot and don't share an address, they can dodge the tax. What's next, man?

I called it years ago that they would be taxing you, but y'all thought I was just a wild conspiracy theorist. Now look, another one of my “crazy” theories has come true. Welcome to TAXstralia, where taxes be lurking around every corner.
Harold Hernandez
Just a friendly reminder - if someone tries to give you free stuff, be cautious! Especially if it's the government, because there's always a catch. Stay sharp, my friend!
Government being too controlling and making a mess of things
Angelo Monti
They should be glad to receive it in the greenery.
Charles Davis
They should totally be powered up with batteries and unplug from the grid, you know?
Jack Kelly
Skip the system and give your batteries a boost!
Sarah Ryan
"Nah mate, not interested."
Ben Howard
So they expect us to drop over 10 grand on a battery just to get back $1.6K? Yeah right, they're trippin'! Might as well just ditch the solar panels and fire up a diesel generator in the yard instead.
Michael Conte
It's like a fancy fee, not a boring tax...apparently there's a distinction (besides the fact that it goes to the store, not the government) 1f609.png
