It's difficult to have a clear opinion without all the facts.

I'm all about that drama. Let's raise the roof on this place, make it three floors high, and throw in a balcony with a view of the ocean, ha!

That's exactly what I was thinking! 😄

We had a similar situation where we had a front block with ocean views and mango trees in the back, which had been there before we bought the place. We trimmed the trees once, but then our neighbor claimed we dropped branches into her garden. So, we had the trees completely cut down by a professiona... View More

Why can't people just get along and let each other live their lives in peace?
Clay Richards
Oh well, at least they've still got a roof over their head. So many people don't have that luxury. Stop your whinging.
Back in the day, we lived in a flat and our neighbors were always fighting. My mom recorded their arguments and blasted them when we were out. They shut up real quick. Props to mom for that move, she's got my respect. 10/10 for sure.

People can be real jerks to each other sometimes. The article doesn't really give a clear explanation of how things got so bad, so it's hard to say who's to blame. But those containers being placed there with bad intentions is just gross in my opinion.

They could stick a camera on a pole and spy on the sea on a giant TV, or show the view on a huge wall in the coziness of their living room.

What you do on your piece of land is your own business, mate. Just make sure you're not encroaching on anyone else's property. And what your neighbors do on their block is their own business too. The only time it might be a problem is if you go and build a big tall building right near the fence line... View More

Can you believe buying a huge chunk of land that's not even beachfront and then getting all upset when the person who actually owns the beachfront puts something on it? This world is wild. Talk about feeling entitled! 😂😂

Unsure if not having an ocean view is living in hell.

Just wait until they turn in their plans, the neighbor is going to have a blast!
The messed up lives of dumb people are a reminder to watch out for your neighbors and what they might pull.
David Ryan
This is absolutely ridiculous behavior from the bloke who's chucking his rubbish on this land. Clear out the bins and old cars, and give the oldies a break.

I believe saying “living in hell” is exaggerated. You should be grateful for your home and consider the less fortunate.
Just a tip: if you want beachfront views and easy access, go for the land right on the beach, not a block away!
Let's add another floor, that'll be a real diss to the neighbors 😂. They'll get what's coming to 'em eventually... It's a shame people can't just get along.
Leighton Massey
There are always three sides to a story: their side, the neighbors' side, and the truth.

Having a transportable house in place of the container and cloth might not restore your sea view if there is always a chance of someone building and obstructing it.
Mark Grdic
I'd totally have a fancy, artsy me taking a pee in a field on a painting. It'd be funny, until someone hurts my feelings.
Allan Gates
Whoever owns that land can do what they want, they won't be happy if a house goes up there! Whether they like it or not, if they wanted a better view, they should have bought both blocks. Fingers crossed they get lucky next time! 😅🇦🇺
In any situation, that's a messed up move. I ain't about that life and it's just sad how many people are.

I bet you'd be surprised how easily old people can plant a hedge. People are strange.
Tony Smith
If they were after that perfect ocean view, they should have snagged a spot with an unobstructed panorama!

Hopefully the council will extend the road along the beach, requiring the removal of containers, or they may enforce a cleanup of the unsightly rubbish that is upsetting beach visitors.
Jamie Henderson
My neighbors built a carport taller than my house, blocking sunlight and forcing us to use lights constantly.
Connor Murphy
We're totally turning into a nation of jerks.

This is total abuse and shouldn't be happening. But the neighbors must have been super mad.

Owning property next to the ocean does not give rights to control development on neighboring land.
