Steve Waugh is one of the legends of the game, who led Australia from the front. Apart from his batting, he was renowned for his inspirational captaincy. Steve Waugh was destined for success since his early days as he was serious towards the game. The right hand batsman was truly amazing in his batting performance against the best in business. He was selected for the Bankstown District under-10s at the age of eight. However, he was sent back from the team because his sleeves were not plain white. It was the fault of his mother Beverly Waugh, who had knitted the colorful sleeves. He was also youngest ever to be selected in the soccer team of the New South Wales Primary School.
